CAPWIP announces the election of its new President |

The Center for Asia Pacific Women in Politics (CAPWIP) elected Jung-sook Kim, Chairperson of KIWP, as its new President. In a board meeting held on 27 September 2003 at Manila in the Philippines, she was chosen to be President of CAPWIP's Board of Trustees. CAPWIP is a non-partisan, non-profit and non-governmental regional organization(NGO) dedicated to promoting equal participation of women in politics and decision-making. It operates through a network of national affiliates clustered into 5 sub-regional groupings: Central Asia, East Asia, Pacific, Southeast Asia, and South Asia.
KIWP has been the East Asian Focal Point of CAPWIP since 1994.
